Sin

We believe that sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation from God’s judgment. Sin has separated us from a Holy God. Sin is anything—thought or action—that does not glorify God.

Creation

We believe that God created the world from nothing and sustains and governs with love, power, and all authority in everything and in all places.

Humanity

We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God as male and female. All humanity possesses intrinsic dignity and worth to love, live rightly, and care for creation.

New Creation

We believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and leads the way for our own resurrection. He ascended to the Father, where He reigns as the world’s only Savior. One day He will return to the world to judge the living and the dead and establish a new heaven and new earth.

Church

We believe that the Church is the spiritual unity of all believers. Local and global members of the body of Christ exist and function to worship God, carry out the mandates Christ gave, live out the principles of the Christian life, promote justice and love, and share the gospel to the world.

The Church is commissioned to represent the glory of God, make disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey God’s commands.

Salvation

We believe that salvation of lost and sinful people is by grace and faith through Jesus Christ alone by His sacrificial death on the cross. Because of His death on the Cross, Jesus redeemed our lives, defeated evil, and made a way for us to be reconciled with God.

Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation. Repentance of sin and faith in Christ results in becoming a new creation by the Holy Spirit, to become children of God and recipients of the promise of resurrection to eternal life. Those who refuse to accept His grace will be lost to eternal separation from God.

The Nicene Creed — 325 AD

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made.

For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became truly human.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried.

On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one Church, set apart by God—a global community built on the teachings of the apostles.

We acknowledge one confession of faith expressed through baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
